Information We Collect

When you use Viorly, we collect:

• Account information: Name, email address when you create an account.
• Inspection reports: PDF files you upload for analysis.
• Documents: Files you store in your Home Vault.
• Usage data: How you interact with Viorly to improve the service.

How We Use Your Information

• To analyze your inspection report and generate findings.
• To provide personalized maintenance schedules and cost estimates.
• To store and organize your home documents securely.
• To run and continually improve the Viorly product — how the analysis is presented, what we surface, and how the service performs. We do not use your report or documents to train AI models.
• To create aggregated, de-identified datasets (with all personal and property identifiers removed) for industry benchmarks and research.

Data Security

Your data is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption and in transit using TLS 1.2+. Inspection reports and documents are stored in isolated, access-controlled storage.

What we will never do: sell or share data that identifies you personally, share your identifiable data with advertisers, or use your inspection report or documents to train AI models. What we may do: share data with your connected real estate agent as described below, and share aggregated or de-identified data with third parties as described in "Aggregated and De-identified Data."

Agent Data Sharing

If you sign up through a real estate agent's link, you are connected to that agent for the home-buying work you do together. By default, the following information is shared with them so they can support you through the transaction:

• Your name, email, and property addresses
• For each property you are still buying: full inspection report findings, severity levels, and cost estimates, plus any quotes you generate and send to professionals through Viorly

Activity your agent can see

Your agent doesn't just get access to documents — while you are connected and still buying, they also see a dated feed of milestones on the transaction, so they know when you might need their help. Specifically:

• When you claim and first open a report they shared with you
• When you add a property, and when a report finishes analyzing (including the issue counts)
• When a quote request changes status: created, sent to pros, pros matched, a contractor asked a question, and whether you accepted or declined — but never the contractor's actual pricing, messages, or replies (see below)
• A "last active" date summarizing when your transaction data last changed
• Whether an email they sent you through Viorly bounced or was marked as spam

Viorly also sends your agent a monthly summary of this same activity, which can mention you by name (for example, that you have an open repair quote). It contains nothing beyond the categories listed above, and it stops for a property when that property closes, and entirely when you release the agent.

What is not in the activity your agent sees: your maintenance and care-plan activity, documents you upload to Home Records, your conversations with the AI advisor, your appliances, insurance and coverage information, your notes, your home-health score, and your logins or browsing. Those are yours alone.

Pro responses to your quotes — their pricing, messages, and replies — are never shared with your agent. Those stay between you and the pro. Your agent can see that a quote changed status; they cannot see what the pro said or offered.

When you mark a property as owned (i.e., the deal closes), your agent's view of that property freezes. They can still see the report and quotes from the transaction, but new activity on that home — new quotes, new inspections, anything you do as a homeowner — is not shared with them, and it stops updating their view of when you were last active.

If you add another property while still connected to the same agent, that property is treated as a new transaction and the same default sharing applies until it closes.

You can release your agent at any time from your Settings page. Releasing removes their access to everything (past and future) and removes their branding from your site.

Aggregated and De-identified Data

Viorly's analyses are most useful when they're informed by patterns across many homes. To do that responsibly, we create aggregated datasets (numbers and trends covering groups of homes) and de-identified datasets (records with personal and property identifiers removed) from the data you and others upload.

Before any data is used this way, we strip out: your name, email, phone number, exact property address (we keep only ZIP or metro), agent linkage, photos containing PII, and any document text that contains identifying information. We use and may share this data with research partners and as aggregate market-benchmark products. This is the only data we ever share beyond your account and your chosen agent — it is never used to train AI models, and we design the process so the result cannot reasonably be re-identified back to you.

Service Providers

Viorly runs on Amazon Web Services, which provides our hosting, storage, database, account authentication, email delivery, and text extraction from scanned documents.

Analytics and Advertising Measurement

We use analytics tools to understand how the site is used, and when we advertise Viorly, we use standard measurement pixels from ad platforms (currently Meta, Google and Microsoft) to know whether those ads work. These pixels report events like a page view or a completed signup, using cookies and similar identifiers set by the platform.

What they never receive from us: your name, email, property address, or anything from your inspection reports, documents, or home records. Measurement events carry no report or document content, and nothing here changes the promises above — we do not sell your personal data or share identifiable data with advertisers. You can limit ad tracking through your browser settings and the ad preferences on those platforms.

Anonymous Uploads

You can upload an inspection report without creating an account. Anonymous uploads are stored with a 7-day session and automatically deleted after 30 days. Creating an account allows you to save your report permanently.

Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time, from Settings or by emailing support@viorly.com. We complete deletion within 7 days: all your inspection reports, documents, and personal information are permanently removed. If you share a home with a partner, their access to that home stays in place; only your account and your access are removed.

How Viorly Makes Money

Viorly is free for buyers, sellers, homeowners, and agents. We make money one way: when you choose to hire a pro through our pro-matching (powered by Thumbtack), that pro pays a small lead fee — the same fee they'd already pay on a marketplace like Thumbtack or Angi. We don't mark it up, and our fee isn't tied to your job's size, scope, or price.

Viorly is software, so it's inexpensive to run. Those referral fees are enough to keep the product free — which is why we don't need to, and never will, sell your personal data. More detail is in our FAQ and on how hiring a pro works.
